Chris Thompson was one of Do It Right Baseball's first employees joining Coach Stringer in 2000 for the organization's first summer camps. Chris was an All-State Catcher at Lane Tech High School during his senior year, and went on to play baseball at College of DuPage & Eastern Illinois University. Over the years, Chris has coached both baseball and softball teams in the Chicago area including: Lake View High School, Niles North High School, Walter Payton High School, and Horner Park (Highlanders). Chris currently teaches Physical Education to K-12 graders at JCFS Therapeutic Day School in Chicago.
Chris is the General Manager and Head Instructor for Mudcats Girls’ Softball and the Head Hitting Instructor for Boys’ Baseball.

Jillian Gomez was born and raised in Chicago and began playing softball at the age of five. Jillian began playing softball at Chicago’s Gompers Park where she also played 16u travel softball. Jillian attended Lane Tech High School where she won three city championships as the starting pitcher and played on the Oak Park Windmills’ 18u travel softball team. Jillian, who began working for the Mudcats in 2016, attends North Park University where she is studying Physics and Mathematics and plays on their softball team.

Juan Gonzalez played baseball for Amundsen High School and began his coaching career in 2002 as a head coach for the Horner Park Boys Little League program. In 2004, Juan became an assistant coach at Welles Park, where his oldest daughter played boys’ baseball before moving onto fastpitch softball at Dunham Park in 2009. Since 2009, Juan has been coaching girls’ fastpitch softball at Dunham Park with players ranging from five years old to eighteen years old and in the fall of 2016 joined the Mudcats as a coach.

Miguel Luevano played first and third base for Gordon Tech High School’s baseball team and began his softball coaching career in 2011 at Durham Park on the northwest side of Chicago. During his tenure at Durham, Miguel coached girls aged four through thirteen from 2011 through the fall of 2016. Additionally, Miguel was the Assistant Coach for the 2015-16 Melrose Park Devils 10u travel softball team. Miguel joined the Mudcat organization in the fall of 2016.

Anna Ramos is a Chicago native who started playing baseball at the age of eight at Portage Park, and for The Pioneers, an all-girls baseball team. Following Anna switched her focus to softball and played at Dunham Park and for travel teams including, the Windy City Rage and the Windy City Flames. Anna attended Von Steuben High School where she was the starting pitcher for the school’s varsity girls softball team for all four years. During her tenure at Von Steuben, Anna was a key contributor in helping her softball team win several championships, move up in their division and win a conference championship. Anna continued to play softball at the college level playing for Triton College. Currently, Anna is a student at Dominican University where she is studying natural/health science so that she can pursue a career in physical therapy upon graduation. Throughout her softball career, Anna has helped conduct pitching camps at different Chicago-area parks and worked with players in one-on-one sessions. Anna joined the Mudcats in 2017 as an assistant coach and pitching instructor for the 14U girls softball.
