I started personal training with Noel in order to improve my health, become more fit, and lose weight. In our time training together, he has helped me meet these goals as well as go beyond where I even expected to go. I’ve lost over 50 lbs and am now at a healthy weight. My physical strength has increased dramatically. I love how toned my muscles look, and my cardiovascular fitness has progressed so much that I was recently able to run a half-marathon (when running even just one mile was a struggle for me before our training started).
What I appreciate most about Noel is his ability to effectively encourage, motivate, and energize. He always knows exactly how far my body can be pushed, and when he shows me that I’m able to accomplish things I didn’t think I was capable of (and would have never tried on my own), it feels amazing and gives me so much confidence. I also have a great time during our workouts and really look forward to our sessions together, as Noel continuously finds new and fun exercises to do so that our training never feels stale. Finally, I really admire his dedication to his profession. He is constantly reading up on fitness in order to improve himself as a trainer, and I know I’m in good hands because he really cares about his work.
I would definitely recommend Noel to any person looking for a personal trainer for guidance on his or her journey to improved health and fitness.

A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with piriformis syndrome which is a condition in which the piriformis muscle becomes overly tight and irritate the nearby sciatic nerve, causing pain, numbness and tingling along the back of the leg and into the foot (much like sciatic pain). The pain was such that it prevented me from sleeping and sitting was near impossible. Physical therapy and anti-inflammatory pain medicine helped, but I kept having episodes.
I first met Noel at David Barton Gym. He was assigned as my personal trainer because he had experience working with clients with issues and boy did I have issues. I followed him to Chicago Mudcats Fitness. Noel tailored my exercise fitness routine to include stretching, deep tissue rolling/compression and strength training emphasizing correct form to avoid aggravating the sciatic nerve.
I have not had an episode since I began working with Noel. I’ve gotten stronger and with his restorative workouts we continue to tackle other issues with tight muscles.

I was introduced to Noel in October 2015 with specific lifestyle/health goals in mind as I entered my 40's. Outside of just getting into better shape and looking good, my emphasis was to add flexibility, endurance, and overall health for my heart and to help lower my cholesterol levels. Noel crafted a perfect workout regiment to enable me to progress my overall health and we successfully met all my goals in a period of one year. I am now entering my second year working with Noel and the Mudcat Fitness Team, working out 3 times a week, and I am always challenged to increase my overall strength and health.
