Fitness Classes

Since opening in 2015, Mudcat Fitness has grown from a gym hosting private personal training sessions, to a program with a number of fitness options including various Fitness Classes. New in the fall of 2017, Mudcat Fitness will begin offering Boxing and YogaFit Classes.  As our program continues to grow, Mudcat Fitness plans to create more fitness options for our clientele. Please be sure to check this page from time-to-time to see what exciting additions we are making.

All fitness classes take place at the Chicago Mudcats Training Facility | The Creek |  2932 North Campbell | Chicago, IL 60618.

MUDCAT BOXING

Mudcat Boxing is not your average workout - It is a total body attack that includes boxing fundamentals, core strengthening, agility work, mixed dumbbell movements, and olympic lifts. Ready to guide you through this 75 minute class is one boxing instructor and one personal trainer. Class is taught in four 15-minute rounds with a warm up, cool down. We promise that after taking this class your heart will be pumping and sweat will be dripping.  This class is a true KNOCKOUT!

MUDCAT BOXING |  REQUIREMENTS

All Mudcat Boxing participants MUST bring their own GLOVES and WRAPS. Our facility only has two pairs of "emergency gloves" available. Additionally, please see “Fitness Classes Requirements” section below for additional essential information prior to attending our classes.

As space is limited, all clients must register to participate. NO WALK-INs.

MUDCAT YOGAFIT

Mudcat YogaFit is a new twist on yoga and fitness. We go outside the box by simplifying the workout to maximize strength, stability, and flexibility. By maximizing the time in class, we are able maximize desired results. This 60-minute class includes 27-minutes of high intensity interval training (light weight and bodyweight workouts and muscle toning and building) and 27-minutes of yoga focusing on consistent flowing poses centered on strength, cardiovascular fitness, and over sense of well-being.

FITNESS CLASSES | REQUIREMENTS

  • All clients must be 21 years or older unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Photo ID is required at the beginning of first session.
  • All health restrictions and medical conditions must be disclosed to the instructor prior to beginning a session.
  • When appropriate, clients should bring a list of current medications to the first session to share with the instructor.
  • Please arrive no later than 10 minutes prior to your training session time slot.
  • Come to class in comfortable workout clothing and gym shoes.
  • Bring a water bottle.

  • All clients must complete a Medical and Media Waiver prior to the first training session. Clients will not be allowed to workout without a completed waiver on file. Please print and sign the waiver, and email it to mudcatfitness@gmail.com or bring it with you to your first training session.
